This will be a panel discussion with 3 seasoned ICF coaches, discussing how they understand and practice the “Coaching Presence” ICF Core Competency.


A variety of questions will be addressed, including:

  1. In your own words, how would you describe this core competency?
  2. How is this competency vital to your coaching practice?
  3. How do you live this competency within your coaching practice?
  4. How do your clients see this competency in you when you are coaching?
  5. What are some examples of successes you have had displaying this competency?
  6. What are some challenges you have faced relative to this competency?How have you dealt with them?
  7. How has this competency impacted your coaching client’s results?
  8. What practices or tools do you use to support the use of this competency in your coaching?
  9. How would you suggest a new coach learn and develop this competency skill?


In addition we will open the floor for questions to our panel relative to this topic.
Attendees will get some tips on how to use their own intuition and trust their internal feelings when when they're in the moment with coaching. The floor will be open for attendees to ask the panel for specific examples of do's and don'ts and everyone will leave refreshed with a focus on their coaching presence.

Patricia Bright has been a transformation specialist through 3 careers that span HR Recruiting and Relocation Manager, Wellness Practitioner, then Leadership/Career Coach since 2008.  Her work with clients opens a pathway to stress reduction and self-discovery that enhances life and career.  Patricia is an explorer of sorts and is comfortable in the worlds of Jungian psychology, dreamwork and neuroscience, as well sweat lodges, meditation retreats and touring Europe’s sacred sites.  She has been teaching Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction for 11 years. From her Wellness days she is certified in Asian somatics, ie Qigong Instructor and Shiatsu Acupressure Practitioner.  These and other experiential practices come in handy in her client work.
