  • Creation of an Individual Development Plan integrating Lominger Competencies & Marshall Goldsmith’s Daily Questions Exercise

Participants will be able to

  • More clearly align client goals with researched based techniques for development

  • Use the Lominger FYI (For Your Improvement Guide for Development & Coaching)
  • Reinforce the application of Daily Questions (from Triggers: Creating Behaviors that Last; Becoming the Person You Want to Be by Marshall Goldsmith
  •  Integrate the session concepts with the GROW model from Coaching for Performance by John Whitmore

Richard's Bio

Richard Needles has worked as a consultant and coach with organizations in multiple industries ranging in size from 6 employees to 150,000 employees. In his corporate career, Richard personally hired over 2,000 employees; 50 at the director and executive level. Richard also founded a corporate university to develop emerging leaders and prepare them to take on expanding roles in a time of rapid growth and change. Richard is a cum laude graduate of the Ohio State University with a degree in Business Administration / Labor & Human Resources. 

In 2006 Richard launched his executive coaching and HR consulting company (Productive People Strategies, LLC). Richard has been a key advisor, coach and consultant for a variety of organizations; he has coached highperforming leaders to improve results; he has coached high-performing teams to achieve better results through goal setting, accountability, improved communications and personal development.

Career Highlights: 

*14 years with Battelle; including 6 years as Director of Human Resources for Battelle’s first commercial venture (Information Dimensions, Inc. – IDI)

*9 years with Sterling Commerce (formerly Sterling Software); 4 promotions in 9 years including promotion to Senior Vice President, Global Human Resources reporting to the CEO; established Sterling Commerce Leadership Institute; managed HR activities during mergers, acquisitions and divestitures; led HR initiatives during spinoff from parent organization and establishment of Sterling Commerce as an independent NYSE public company.
