This session will help participants learn skills necessary to coach baby boomers who are transitioning into retirement. Participants will learn how creating awareness will help uncover thoughts, beliefs and perceptions prior to the transition into retirement.
 
We will demonstrate how to identify transition issues through an exercise and how to address in the coaching process.
 
Participants will learn how to coach clients through the planning and prioritizing goal setting based on the results of the learned exercise.

From the goals outlined, participants will understand how to coach the client to write an action plan that encompass all aspects for a joyful retirement.

About Holly McFarlandHolly McFarland
Holly McFarland is Director of Franklin University’s Center for Career Development, Owner of HSM Consultants, and Retirement Coach with Lifelaunch Consulting.  As a Retirement Coach, Holly helps pre-retirees define and design their next chapter in life with purpose and intention.  She also serves on the board of the Retirement Coaches Association. Holly received her MBA from Franklin University and holds professional certifications in Retirement, Career, and Executive Coaching.








About Rita Gallagher
Rita Gallagher works at Nationwide Financial in Columbus, Ohio and has been responsible for building and sustaining their current coaching culture.  She also facilitated training programs around coaching competencies and energy management. Prior to joining Nationwide in 2007, Rita was a HR Director and has more than 20 years’ experience in the HR profession. Rita received her MBA as well as her Graduate Coaching certification from Franklin University, Columbus, Ohio.  She is a Certified Business Coach through World Association of Business Coaches as well as a Certified Retirement Coach through Retirement Coaching Options. She has served on the board of the ICF, Columbus Charter Chapter for more than 10 years and has also coached students at Franklin University. She is a co-author of the newly released book, The Retirement Challenge:  A Non-Fictional Guide from Two Retirement Experts.
